Character
Being an albino cultivar, the dry leaves are pale orange in the cup, it has a subtle aroma of hay and flower. The signature character of mineral notes is packed with unique vegetal undertones and mushroom-like freshness, the mouthfeel is mellow and savory.
Highlight
四大名丛 sì dà míng cóng 'Four Great Tea Cultivars' is a collective term referring to four famous Wuyi oolong tea bush varieties: Da Hong Pao, Tie Luo Han and Shui Jin Gui. Unlike the other Rock tea, Bai Ji Guan is partially oxidized and then gently roasted over low heat. The gentle roasting preserves the tea’s natural character.
It said Bai Ji Guan was the only 道茶(Dao Tea) in the eyes of Taoists in Wuyi Mountains, as its unique Qi-regulating for meditation.
